Description : Just plain hanging out is a favored form of recreation, particularly in summer, and particularly in a hammock or hanging hammock chair.

Description : Oneida building has this large tub installed, strictly for luxurious relaxation. The tub can be reserved as can many other collective luxuries at Twin Oaks. The picture window overlooks the herb garden.

The pond 池塘

Description : It took many years of process to decide if and where to have this pond built. It's located just behind our main courtyard, so much closer than the river we used to walk to. Now we get to enjoy it thoroughly.

Description : Completed in 2003. Has been in use several evenings a week during its first winter. Scrap wood heats it.

Description : Cleo and Adrian strolling. We don't get many days suitable for this in winter so many of us jump at the chance to skate or play on the ice covered pond.

Description : Fairly often there are trips to local mountains, particularly to Shenandoah National Park destinations. This is a hike to the familiar Old Rag Mountain.
